June 8, 2024 - in New Orleans!

For 25 years NWSA has been hosting a full day of on land and on-the-water hands-on workshops for women sailors of all levels. All workshops are led by highly competent and enthusiastic women sail instructors and captains.

A sneak peak: there will be workshops in sewing canvas and sail repair, how to read a chart, how to go up a mast safely and how to avoid mishaps and mayhem just to name a few.

And then, of course, you’ll have a chance to get out on the water! Whether you are an absolute beginner or you are working on your race start strategy, the coaches are highly qualified and eager to share sailing with you!

2023 - Hudson River Community Sailing - WOW Statue of Liberty Social Sail

NEW EVENT! Hudson River Community Sailing (our new sister club!) will host WOW Clubs on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 in New York City for a social sail, (starting at 1PM) followed by Happy Hour in Chelsea, starting at 6PM.

As our group has grown nicely, we will have the WOWLIS Eastern and Western District clubs race, spectate, or hang out ... and non-racing clubs (Beach Point, Cedar Point, Horseshoe Harbor, Housatonic, Hudson River Community Sailing, Nyack Boat, and Stonington) join us to spectate (if there is room) or hang out during the racing.

Annual Gillespie Regatta. Women’s only in Ideal 18s with spinnakers. Part of the Andrea Watson Trophy 4 regatta series.
